1. Introduction & Overview
TheMaker & Coder Championship(MCC) isan innovation competition designed to inspire students in robotics, coding, IoT, and AI through hands-on hardware construction and programming. The competition aligns with Sustainable Development Goals:

- Form Submission: Fill in team details (team name, member names, age category, school/organization affiliation).
- Fee Payment: Submit the registration fee via the secure online gateway

- Complete the official Team Details Form and bring it to the competition venue for verification.
4. Competition Day Procedure & Match Schedule Schedule Overview
- Arrival & Check-in: Teams receive badges, schedules, and submit their Team's Blueprint.
- Robot Inspection: Verification of size, weight, and component compliance.
- Opening Ceremony: Welcome address, judge introductions, and event briefings.
- Workstation Setup: Last-minute testing and code adjustments.
- Maker & Coder Selections: 1 round consisting of 2 matches per team; average score determines ranking.
- Lunch Break: Score aggregation and top-team tabulation.
- Maker & Coder Championships:
- Top 4 teams qualify and receive time for robot modifications.
- The top 4 play 1 round of 2 matches to select the final 2 teams.
- Final 2 teams compete in 1 round (2 matches) for the Championship.
- Awards Ceremony: Recognition, certificates, and photo sessions.
Match Day Sequence (Per Round)

- Preparation (5 Min): Set up robot at start area; place Remote+/AWS devices in designated area.
- Match 1 (4 Min): Initiated on referee signal ("3, 2, 1, go!"). Time warnings given at 1 minute remaining.
- Modification (3 Min): Teams modify hardware/code between matches.
- Match 2 (4 Min): Execute tasks under referee timing.
- Finalizing Score (5 Min): Scores recorded, verified, and signed by the Team Captain and Referee.
- Departure: Teams clear the field for the next group.

Teams must compile and submit a physical/digital portfolio covering:
- Title Page: Team name, logo, slogan, and core values/mission.
- 3D-Printed Innovation: Engineering purpose, CAD drawings/dimensions, integration details, and task functionality.
- Team Background: Member roles (designer, programmer, strategist) and branding inspiration
- Collaboration Process: Documentation of teamwork, meeting notes, timeline, and problem-solving milestones.
- Design Aesthetics: Team posters, visual identity, and team uniforms.
- Reflection & Implementation: Design iteration progression (before/after photos) and team quotes.

Humanity has established a lunar base. The robot assists in lunar operations: transporting and fueling rockets, conducting launches, gathering soil samples, analyzing gravitational anomalies, communicating with Earth, and returning safely.
Novices Missions Breakdown
Mission 1: Transport to Launch Site
- Task: Robot transports itself from Rocket Production Center or Space Center to Launch Site.

Overview & Advanced Integration
The Pioneers category incorporates advanced robotics, AI, IoT, MQTT protocol communication, and Cloud computing integration (AWS/Azure).
Pioneers Missions Breakdown
Mission 1: Transport to Launch Site
- Task: Transport rocket from Rocket Production Center or Space Center to Launch Site.
- Scoring: Stop in red area (10 pts), Start from Rocket Production Center (5 pts BONUS), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT share on APP (10 pts). Max: 35 pts.
Mission 2: Fuel the Rocket
- Task: Change controller RGB LED status from red to green.
- Scoring: RGB color change (10 pts), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT share on APP (10 pts). Max: 30 pts.
Mission 3: Moon Launch
- Task: Follow line from Launch Site to Breaking Point after completing 2 revolutions around the moon orbit.
- Scoring: Stop at Breaking Point after 2 revolutions (20 pts), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT share on APP (10 pts). Max: 40 pts.
Mission 4: Moon Landing
- Task: Transition from Breaking Point to Moon Landing Site.
- Scoring: Stop within landing site (10 pts), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT share on APP (10 pts). Max: 30 pts.
Mission 5: Collecting Moon Soil Samples
- Task: Collect two randomized colored samples (blue/red/yellow/green) from Measure Point.
- Scoring: Pick up sample (10 pts each = 20 pts), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT (10 pts).
- BONUS (Blue Sample Detection): Identify blue sample for transport using RGB Sensor (10 pts BONUS) OR AI Camera (15 pts BONUS). Max: 40 pts (base/extra) + Bonus
Mission 6: Collecting Abnormal Region Samples
- Task: Navigate to Moon Gravity Abnormal Region and collect two randomized colored samples.
- Scoring: Pick up sample (10 pts each = 20 pts), Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT (10 pts)
- BONUS (Blue Sample Detection): Identify blue sample using RGB Sensor (10 pts BONUS) OR AI Camera (15 pts BONUS). Max: 40 pts (base/extra) + Bonus.
Mission 7: Transporting the Abnormal Soil Sample
- Task: Deposit blue sample into the target circular area at Moon Soil Collection Point.
- Scoring: Placement accuracy: Largest Circle (10 pts) / Middle Circle (15 pts) / Smallest Circle (20 pts); Screen UI (5 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT (10 pts). Max: 40 pts.
Mission 8: Analyse Samples
- Task: Identify position of a colored board placed over 1 of 3 black areas; display reading (10, 20, or 30) on controller screen.
- Scoring: Correct result displayed (20 pts), Remote+ (5 pts), MQTT (5 pts).
- BONUS (Board Color Analysis): Identify board color type via RGB Sensor (10 pts BONUS) OR AI Camera (20 pts BONUS). Max: 60 pts.
Mission 9: Communicate with Earth
- Task: Stop at Artificial Lunar Satellite; confirm communication via Remote+ where operator approves request.
- Scoring: Confirmed communication (20 pts).
- BONUS: Transmit flight time (Launch -> Landing) and total moon mission duration via Remote+/MQTT (20 pts BONUS). Max: 40 pts.
Mission 10: Running to Earth
- Task: Return and stop in Earth Landing Area.

MCC Pioneers Awards
- Champion Award: Highest overall point total. Tie-breaker: Fastest total completion time.
- 1st Runner-Up / 2nd Runner-Up: Second and third highest point totals.
- AIoT Connectivity Award: Given for successful connection and transmission to AWS/Azure.
- AIoT Excellence Award: Achieved by securing full points (100/100) on the AWS/Azure Bonus Mission.
- Blueprint Engineers Award: Awarded for top engineering, innovation, and documentation in the Team Blueprint.
9. General Rules & Regulations
Disciplinary Framework
- Warning: Verbal/written notice for minor infractions. No point deduction.
- Violation: Issued for repeated minor infractions or a serious violation.-10 point deduction.
- Robot Suspension: Issued for severe or continuous infractions. Robot is suspended for the current match (0 points for that match). Teams may compete in subsequent matches.
- Disqualification: Issued for cheating, unsportsmanlike behavior, safety breaches, or persistent non-compliance. The entire team is disqualified and all competition scores are nullified
Safety Rules (SR)
- SR1 (General Safety): Strict compliance with all organizer instructions.
- SR2 (Electrical Safety): Robot must be powered off during inspection and adjustments. Use approved batteries only. All wiring must be insulated to prevent short circuits.
- SR3 (Robot Handling): Robots must be handled carefully. Only designated team members may transport robots into/out of the arena.
- SR4 (Emergencies): Follow staff instructions immediately in emergencies.
Robot Operation Rules (RR)
- RR1 (Hardware Limits): Must meet size ($320\times 320\times 450\text{ mm}$), weight ($\le 6\text{ kg}$), wheel diameter ($\le 70\text{ mm}$), and motor/servo count constraints (Max 4 of each) using MC 4.0.
- RR2 (Rebooting): Restarts during a match require referee approval. The team must state "Request Reboot" . Unauthorized restarts trigger a violation followed by suspension.
- RR3 (Wi-Fi Protocol): Teams provide their own Wi-Fi for Remote+ / AWS / Azure. Signal interference with other teams results in immediate disqualification from current and future competitions
- RR4 (Mobile Phone Usage): Exactly 1 approved phone operated solely by the designated Operator is permitted. Phone must be placed in a visible location for displaying Remote+/AWS data only; communication during matches is strictly prohibited.
- RR5 (Software Platforms): Allowed environments: UIFlow, Python, MATLAB, Arduino IDE, ROS.
- RR6 (Form Verification): Teams missing their Team Details Form will not be allowed to start the match and will be marked absent for that match.
Participant Operation Rules (PR)
- PR1 (Professional Conduct): Professionalism and respect required at all times. Cheating/unsportsmanlike behavior leads to immediate disqualification.
- PR2 (Arena Access): Only the designated Operator and Observer are allowed in the immediate arena perimeter. Unapproved persons entering the arena receive a warning followed by removal from the venue.
- PR3 (Communication): Team members may communicate verbally with each other. External assistance/coaching during a match is forbidden.
- PR4 (Equipment Handling): Equipment damage must be reported immediately.
Award Rules (AR) & Appeals (AP)
- Award Capping (AR1/AR2): A team may win only one major award (Champion, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up). Award priority: Champion > 1st Runner-Up > 2nd Runner-Up > Category Awards.
- Point-Based Distribution (AR3): Points-based awards are given to 1 team each. Non-point awards can be shared by up to 2 teams in the event of a tie.
- Appeals Process (AP1–AP3): Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Head Referee within 30 minutes of score posting. Appeals will NOT be accepted if the Team Captain signed the match score sheet without dispute. Appeals are reviewed by a 3-judge panel whose decision is final.
